FRENCH VOLLEYBALL PLAYER SAVED HIS FORMER CLUB FROM BANKRUPTCY

Renna volleyball club, like many other sports organizations, is going through hard times. However, the former player of the team, Kevin le Roux, came to its aid - he raised 300 thousand euros for the club.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Renna club was unable to participate in the Champions League, and even got a decent financial hole in the amount of 300 thousand euros. The coronavirus was partly to blame, and partly were the sponsors who refused from the further cooperation. One way or another, the club found itself struggling to survive and preparing for bankruptcy.

31-year-old Kevin le Roux reacted to the situation - in 2018, he had played for Rennes for six months. Volleyball player gathered a group of investors and convinced them of the reliability of the project. As a result, they agreed to save the club and allocate money.

“I know the club well and cannot let the only professional volleyball club in the Brittany region to be closed,” said le Roux.

The athlete also noted that he stood up for “Rennes” for the reason that Brittany is his homeland. Kevin le Roux is worried about the development of sports in this region and cannot allow the bankruptcy of such a significant volleyball foundation. It is also known that le Roux himself became the main investor. Among others, there were other volleyball players who promised to reveal their names later.
