FLIGHTS ABROAD WILL BE RESUMED FROM SIX CITIES OF RUSSIA
The Deputy Minister of Transport and the Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko sent to the Government a proposal to resume international flights from six cities of Russia.
It is assumed that this will happen within the first stage of lifting the restrictions on the international transport. Among the cities announced by Neradko are Moscow, there are Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Vladivostok and Novosibirsk.
The cities were selected according to the principle of “one large airport per macroregion”.
According to Izvestia newspaper, all the international airports have already been prepared for the full-scale operation, but The Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare still considers it correct to limit their number in order to avoid the possibility of the spread of coronavirus.
As for the second stage of the resumption of flights, Russian authorities will be checking the epidemiological situation abroad every two weeks. This is necessary to constantly update the list of the countries the citizens of Russia can travel to with minimal risks. We should note that despite all the preparations, the date of the resumption of international flights has not been announced yet.
