Prime Minister Boris Johnson reported the first death of Omicron strain of Covid-19. He also noted that the statement about a milder course of this type of virus was erroneous.
Boris Johnson said that people suffering from the Omicron strain also get to the hospitals. And at least one person has already died. Previously, there were no deaths of this mutation of the coronavirus.
Johnson noted that the Omicron was not a milder strain of Covid-19.
The British prime minister also recalled that the new strain had a very high spreading rate. Johnson called revaccination the only way to protect against the virus.
