A "British" strain of coronavirus that has been recently discovered is actively spreading throughout the world. The head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, Anna Popova, notes that the state of health of a person who fell ill with a new strain is good - he does not have any symptoms. At the same time, infection with the standard COVID-19 strain was confirmed for 32 Russians who returned from the UK, with more than 7,000 tests passed.

According to Popova, Russian tests have the ability to detect a new strain of COVID-19 and vaccines registered in the country are able to protect form it.
