EUROPEAN UNION RESTORED FREE MOVEMENT IN THE SCHENGEN AREA
From June 21, residents of the European Union can again move from country to country without additional restrictions. Now they do not need to comply with the quarantine.
Movements will become possible if a person has a vaccination certificate or a document confirming the fact of being infected with covid for the last six months. Vaccination must be completed no later than 2 weeks before travel. A negative covid test will also be required.
For Russians, relaxation has been made for tourists traveling to Finland.
Russian citizens will be able to travel to Finland if they have real estate or relatives there. In other EU countries, residents of the Russian Federation are not expected yet.
The European Union has also allowed working trips not only by airplane, but also by land and water transport. Berry pickers are also allowed to come to the Schengen area. We should recall that residents of Europe could not travel between countries for more than a year, as there were severe restrictions all this time.
Despite the closed borders of Europe, several new directions will open for Russians from June 22: Turkey, Bulgaria, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Morocco and North Macedonia.
