DONETSK PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC AND LUHANSK PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC ANNOUNCE CONSCRIPTION INTO THE ARMED FORCES FOR THE FIRST TIME
The self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk republics announced the conscription into the armed forces for the first time. Each of the republics plans to attract 200 people aged 18 to 27 years.

The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the Luhansk Republic Leonid Pasechnik. The document says that from April 1 to September 30, 2021, compulsory training of male soldiers for the People's Police will take place. It was noted that the appeal will also be applied to those who are not registered, but are obliged to be.

The DPR announced a similar conscription.

The service is expected to last 6 months. So far, only contract soldiers are involved in the work of People's Police of both republics.

To serve, the conscripts will have to undergo psychological testing and a medical commission. The very process of acquiring a military specialty will be equated to the passage of service with the issuance of a military record book.
