Doctors explained deaths from COVID-19 among vaccinated
Susan Hopkins, a spokeswoman for the UK's Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety Agency, said that deaths among vaccinated people were associated with a decrease in the effectiveness of vaccinations.
Hopkins reported this on the air of BBC. She noted that, as a rule, unvaccinated citizens died from Covid-19, but deaths also take place among vaccinated. This happens due to a decrease in immunity and a rapid weakening of the effect of vaccines.
It is noted that the effect of vaccination fades away faster in people over 70 years old, as well as in people with concomitant diseases.
Hopkins emphasized that the vaccine can protect a conditionally healthy 30-year-old person from disease for a long time. However, citizens from risk groups need not to delay and undergo revaccination after six months.
The British authorities positively assess the rate of vaccination (45.8 million people received both components - 68% of the population), but the statistics on revaccination are much lower (only 10.3 million Britons did it). According to the latest research conducted by American scientists in February 2021, the vaccine protected 87.9% from Covid-19, but by October, the effectiveness has dropped to 48.1%.
