CYPRUS STARTED TO RECEIVE TOURISTS FROM 50 COUNTRIES
CYPRUS STARTED TO RECEIVE TOURISTS FROM 50 COUNTRIES
The authorities of Cyprus announced the beginning of the tourist season. However, the terms of entry will differ for the citizens of countries with different coronavirus situation.
The tourists will start coming to Cyprus from July 23rd - they will be divided into several groups. Citizens of the states of the first category are the most welcome from an epidemiological point of view, and therefore they will only be selectively checked for coronavirus at the airport. They do not need to comply with quarantine, nor will they need any additional documents.
The tourists from the second category must take a certificate of absence of coronavirus with them, made maximum 3 days before the entry. The third category includes the least affluent countries in terms of morbidity - in addition to the certificates, the travelers will have to stay in a two-week quarantine. The list of these states includes Great Britain, Sweden, Portugal, Montenegro, Serbia, Luxembourg and Romania.
Russia is not on any of these lists.
We should recall that the European Union has refused to accept Russian citizens, since the country is in the "red" zone for the incidence of coronavirus. At the moment, the authorities of the Russian Federation are actively discussing the possibility of resumption of international flights, which was closed on March 27, but no specific dates have appeared in the official reports yet.
