CRIMINAL CASE WAS INTIATED AGAINST A WOMAN WHO REFUSED TO WEAR FACE MASK AT MFC
52-year-old Moscow resident Valentina Muzhenskaya became a defendant in a criminal case under Article 318 - the use of violence against a government official. On June 25, the police took her out of one of the capital's multifunctional centers for a refusal to wear a mask.

The woman herself stated that she took off the mask because she felt unwell. However, the police were called - by the time the law enforcement officers arrived, Muzhenskaya was already wearing a mask, and she refused to leave the building of MFC with the police.

Eyewitnesses published a video showing how the police officers began to wring the woman's hands - she screamed and then fainted. Muzhenskaya was dragged along the pavement and carried into a police car. On the comments of eyewitnesses that she was unconscious, the policeman replied that the woman was pretending.

According to Novaya Gazeta, Muzhenskaya got bruises and abrasions and applied to the medical facility.

The woman filed an application to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and to the Investigative Committee.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Muzhenskaya was asked to comply with sanitary standards, but she began to behave aggressively, bit one police officer and hit another on the leg several times. In addition, administrative protocols were brought against the woman for disobeying the police and for violating the high alert regime.
