COURT SENTENCED BANKRUPTCY TRUSTEE TO 4 YEARS IN PRISON FOR UNSUCCESSFUL SALE OF APARTMENT
In Chelyabinsk, a guilty verdict was passed against a bankruptcy trustee, who sold the apartment of a debtor client at a significantly lower price. The trustee was found guilty and sentenced to four years in prison, with a fine of half a million.
The apartment of the bankrupt debtor became a disputable object of real estate. It was located in the city center and the area of the property was 130 square meters. Selling the lot, the trustee significantly reduced the cost, thereby causing damage.
Its size was subsequently estimated at 3 million rubles.
The case was investigated by the employees of the regional department of FSS, who established all the circumstances of the case. They carried out the necessary actions, and the court has already recognized the guilt of a trustee in embezzlement.
The defendant was sentenced to four years in prison with the obligation to pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.
The decision was issued under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Fifty-eight-year-old Igor Zolotukhin turned out to be a convict, and the value of the sold property amounted to only 1.9 million rubles, URA.RU reports, citing a law enforcement source.
