Coronavirus influenced the collapse of the flight tickets prices in Russia
Russian air carriers are experiencing enormous problems due to the collapse of ruble and oil prices, the spread of coronavirus infection and the cancellation of international flights.

All airlines found themselves in a difficult situation, as not only the flights between countries were stopped, but also the number of passengers has decreased greatly because of the quarantine and the threat of the coronavirus. In order to maintain the business, a number of airlines have already made a difficult decision to significantly reduce the cost of air tickets for domestic flights.

“S-7”, “Ural Airlines” and “Aeroflot” offer to purchase the tickets to St. Petersburg, Sochi, Irkutsk, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Omsk, Krasnodar at the prices 40-60% lower than the prices of last autumn.

At the moment, a ticket from Moscow to St. Petersburg can be bought for 2,300 rubles (previously, the price was around 4,600 rubles). The prices of the tickets to Novosibirsk, Kazan and Rostov-on-Don decreased by 15-20% as well.

The prevailing economic and epidemiological situation certainly affects the air carriers, which was mentioned by Alexander Neradko, the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency. The government is already taking active measures to support this sector of the economy of Russia.
