Cashback for tours to the Far East can grow up to 40 thousand rubles
At the meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports held the day before, Vladimir Putin gave a number of instructions. Among them is an increase in the size of the tourist cashback for the Far Eastern direction. The measure should be adopted by the end of September this year.
Last autumn, the President was approached with such an idea during the Eastern Economic Forum.
Then Putin had already instructed the government to develop the initiative.
The tourist cashback program was launched in Russia for the first time in the summer of 2020. It is designed to stimulate domestic tourism, and provides for the possibility of returning part of the funds paid for the trip. At the same time, in order to receive money, it is necessary to comply with a number of conditions, including registration on the website, payment of the cost of the trip with the Mir card, as well as making a trip within a certain time frame. After that, a fifth of the cost must be returned to the card.
As for the Far East, at the moment we are talking about increasing the size of cashback for tourist trips to the region to 40 thousand rubles. It is not yet clear how soon the government will work out this initiative.
