Avtovaz intends to produce Lada Granta without an airbag
The Togliatti Avtovaz plant has resumed work and announced the release of an updated Lada Granta Classic'22 configuration. The model "lost" the driver's airbag, as well as ABS and the ERA-GLONASS module. Other models are not coming off the assembly line yet.
Since the beginning of March, due to the introduction of sanctions measures against Russia, the company has faced certain difficulties and was forced to suspend production.
The factories located in Izhevsk and Tolyatti have gone idle.
Spring passed in the conditions of periodic resumption of activities and departure of employees on vacation. Since the beginning of summer, the plant has officially switched to a four-day working week and is now ready to release an updated version of the well-known "Grants" from the assembly line. The production in Izhevsk, where Vesta is assembled, continues to remain in idle mode.
Speaking about the model range of cars in the new assembly, it is worth noting that so far this has affected models such as sedan, liftback and station wagon. They will receive a number of positive updates, including heated mirrors, electric drive and door mouldings painted to match the body color.
The cost of the new version of Lada Granta has not yet been announced, but it will become known in the near future, Kolesa.ru reports.
