Austrian Minister of Foreign affairs Alexander Schallenberg announced the exclusion of the Russian Federation from the list of potentially dangerous countries. Now Russians will be able to visit Austria subject to certain conditions.

In the neaest future, residents of the Russian Federation who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to come to Austria and not comply with quarantine. However, the message does not specify, which vaccines are recognized by the European country.

Russia resumed flights with Austria on June 10.

In Austria, anti-covid restrictions are gradually being lifted - this is due to the positive dynamics in morbidity. In addition to Russia, Turkey, China, Bosnia and Kosovo were classified as ‘non-dangerous’. It is also worth noting that entry into Austria is possible after at least two weeks after the second injection of the vaccine.

Previously, only Russians with an Austrian residence permit or the national D type visa could visit the country. In addition, Russian citizens traveling to Austria for work, study or for medical treatment could cross the border.
