ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM STARTED WORKING IN ONE OF THE RUSSIAN COURTS
In the Belgorod region, the artificial intelligence system started to issue court orders at several sites of Justices of the Peace. The regulations concern tax arrears on property, transport and land.
At the same time, modern technologies are designed only to facilitate the work of a judge, documents prepared in this way, nevertheless, will be checked by a person.
Chairman of the Council of Judges Viktor Momotov told about the innovation last Tuesday, reports RIA Novosti.
The servant of Themis said that the pilot project was launched at three sites of Justices of the Peace in the Belgorod region and was functioning as part of the preparation of court orders for the collection of tax arrears.
A court order is both a court ruling and a writ of execution. It is handed down by a judge without the participation of the parties and subject to a number of conditions, in particular in terms of the amount of money (requirement up to 500 thousand rubles). To satisfy the application in the framework of the ordered proceedings, the plaintiff must provide exhaustive evidence of the debt, while the defendant is still given the right to challenge the already issued order.
Court orders are indeed issued in great numbers by Justices of the Peace and are often of the same type. The artificial intelligence is planned to be used to prepare draft resolutions and check the details of the parties in order to save the judge's time and free it up for other processes.
