Are you hiring employees? Check your passports: cases of forged documents have become more frequent
Employers should be more careful when checking the documents of new employees — cases of using fake or stolen passports have become more frequent.

According to MASH, Ukrainians massively buy or steal Russian passports, paste their photos and try to enter the country. Fake passports may end up in the hands of illegal immigrants applying for a job. Documents are either acquired from citizens who have left the country through the darknet (the issue price is 100-200 thousand rubles), or simply stolen.

The border guards were instructed to inspect the documents more carefully, especially at the borders with Kazakhstan and Georgia. However, the main difficulty is the delay in adding lost passports to the database. This creates a temporary "window" during which the forged document can look legitimate. Employers should double-check employee data to avoid risks.
