ALL MINKS IN DENMARK WILL BE EXTERMINATED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS
The Danish government has decided to exterminate all the minks in the country. It was reported that animals are capable of transmitting coronavirus to humans.
According to the Danish media, covid-19,which passed from minks, was found in 12 people. Moreover, this form of the virus is called mutated - with this type of disease, the ability to form antibodies decreases, which complicates the further use of the vaccine.
The minks have been recognized as a threat due to the spread of a mutating virus.
On the basis of these arguments, absolutely all animals will be killed in Denmark. The Prime Minister of the country Mette Frederiksen noted that it is a "rainy day" for everyone who works in the mink industry - many people in Denmark will lose their life's work, but it is impossible to find another way.
Coronavirus among minks was detected on 207 Danish farms, 67 of them have already exterminated animals. The prime minister of the country also noted that the Danish leadership tried to find another solution to the problem until recently, but now the likelihood of the spread of the mutated covid has become too high - the infection may spread to other countries. Frederiksen summed up that in the current situation, Denmark's responsibility to the rest of the world was too high.
The minks will be exterminated by the Danish Armed Forces and the Emergency Situations Agency.
