Aeroflot threatened with sanctions over the situation in Belarus
Bloomberg reported on the position of the EU officials - they are considering imposing sanctions against Aeroflot due to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border.

It is assumed that the sanctions may be introduced in early December, they may be applied to a number of individuals and legal entities.  All of them have one thing in common - the transportation of migrants to the EU border through the territory of Belarus.
In addition to Aeroflot, Turkish Airlines are also threatened with sanctions.
The media outlet reports that a new package of sanctions may be announced not only by the European Union, but also by Great Britain and the United States.

We should remind our readers that at the moment, on the border between Poland and Belarus, there are thousands of migrants from North Africa and the Middle East - all of them are trying to penetrate into the EU.  The position of the refugees is that they left their countries because of the threat to their lives, but the European Union does not let them in and uses tear gas at the border.
The Polish side accuses Belarus of provocations.
This summer, Alexander Lukashenko announced that the country would cease to tightly control the flows of migrants - the message was made due to the aggravation of relations with the EU.  The President of Belarus stressed out that they had ‘neither money nor strength’ to contain the situation.

RBC, referring to the sources close to Aeroflot, reported that the airline did not fly to countries from which refugee flows traditionally come.  From the countries of the Middle East, Aeroflot operates flights only to the UAE, Israel, Egypt and Iran.

The situation was commented on by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, noting that accusations of Poland about Russia's involvement in the migration crisis sounded irresponsible and unacceptable.

Belarus is threatened with sanctions as well. Reuters reports that due to the migration crisis, 30 individuals and legal entities, including Belavia airline and Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, may be subject to sanctions.
