Volodymyr Zelenskyy made another appeal, in which he announced a fire that had started on the territory of a nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye.

President Zelensky noted that he did not have information when the fire would end and whether there would be an explosion. He already contacted a number of European leaders on this issue, as well as the US president.

According to the press service of the nuclear power plant, on the night of March 4, a fire broke out on its territory.

The same information was confirmed by the mayor of Energodar, where the nuclear power plant is located, Inverfax reports.

According to preliminary data, the fire started in the training building, which does not belong to the territory of the station. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine separately noted that the fire condition at the station itself was normal.

The nuclear power plant is located in Zaporozhye, has six power units and is the largest in Europe in terms of installed capacity.

According to TASS, at night the third power unit was disconnected from the unified power system, only 4 units of the station remained in operation.

At the moment, firefighters are working at the scene of the fire, RBC reports.
