The representative of the Legislative Assembly of the Kamchatka Territory Igor Redkin said that he accidentally shot a man. This happened while shooting a bear.
The politician's words were spread by his representative Olga Struchenko. Igor Redkin said that the incident took place on the evening of August 2 in the village of Ozernovsky - a bear was wandering around the local dump and could become a threat to residents. The deputy tried to shoot it, but because of the twilight, the visibility was poor.
It turned out that Redkin had wounded a local resident who walked in the area of the shooting - later he died in the hospital.
The politician noted that he was ready to be punished for what he had done. Redkin also added that he would no longer be a member of the United Russia and withdrawn his candidacy from the elections.
According to TASS, a 30-year-old man was wounded by a gunshot at a dump near the village of Ozernovsky and later died. Igor Redkin is engaged in entrepreneurship in Kamchatka. In 2020, he earned 315 million rubles and - 1.5 billion rubles over the past 3 years.
