WILDBERRIES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPENSATE FOR THE ILLEGAL USE OF THE TRADEMARK
Cosmetic company "LUDOVICO MARTELLI S.p.A" intends to sue Wildberries marketplace and IP Lemeshko E.A. compensation for the use of the trademark without approval.
We are talking about an amount of 350 thousand rubles. This is stated in the file of arbitration cases on the website of the instance.
The online platform has already been caught selling counterfeit products several times, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has focused on this. Then the marketplace launched the Digital Arbitration service, thanks to which copyright holders can receive product data from sellers and stop the facts of forgeries. When faced with violations, Wildberries undertook to hide the goods, and in case of repeated disregard of the rules – to suspend cooperation with the seller altogether.
