URALHIMMASH DECIDED TO BANKRUPT THE "DAUGHTER" OF THE AMERICAN CORPORATION HONEYWELL
The Russian industrial corporation Uralkhimmash (PJSC), engaged in the production of equipment for the petrochemical and energy industries, has decided to proceed with the bankruptcy of the company Honeywell (JSC).
Information about the intentions to go to court was published on Fedresurs.ru on October 11.
Honeywell is a subsidiary of the Honeywell Military Industrial Corporation from the USA, known for the production of automation systems and tank engines. The brand has existed since 1885 and operates not only in the military-industrial complex market, but also in the field of housing construction. The company actually left the Russian market in the spring of 2022 and has recently been discussed in the media in connection with work on Washington's state defense order, participating in the creation of a batch of Abrams tanks.
In Russia, the company "Honewell" appeared in 1994.
The company traded in electronics and telecommunications equipment, working with many large enterprises of the Russian Federation. So, in particular, a lawsuit of Rosbank is under consideration in court, trying to recover a debt from the company. The third parties in this case are Irkutsk Polymer Plant and Tolyattiazot.
It is known that another "daughter" of Honeywell, the company "UOP", also worked on the Russian market. Its founders are two foreign companies (UOP Ltd. and UOP Services Ltd.) that are part of the parent corporation. Rosbank has also accumulated claims for 2.246 billion rubles against the company. It was this amount that fell under the interim measures imposed by the arbitration court at the request of the credit institution.
In the lawsuit of the credit institution, it is reported that the company "UOP" transferred funds to Honeywell International Inc. under the loan agreement. In April of this year, the contract was extended to 50 years. This may mean that the money (its amount was about 43% of the company's total assets) was actually donated.
What decision the court will make in the case against Honeywell will become clear in the near future. The initiator of the claim, Uralhimmash, was transferred to the control of the UZKHM Criminal Code in February 2022. The main owner of the plant, located in Yekaterinburg, is the largest Russian holding in the field of heavy engineering, PJSC OMZ. He owns 99.9987% of the company's shares. Gazprombank is a strategic partner of the company.
