TRUMP FILES NEW ELECTION LAWSUIT IN PENNSYLVANIA

The election of the 46th president of the United States in early November provoked a wave of lawsuits from the campaign of the presidential candidate Donald Trump. According to the officially announced voting results, his opponent, 77-year-old Democratic Party member Joe Biden, won the election.

However, Donald Trump still has questions about the results of the vote count, which he intends to resolve in court.

The lawyers have already filed the relevant documents in Georgia and Michigan. The day before, Trump’s campaign filed another lawsuit, this time in Pennsylvania.

The plaintiff points out the illegality of the two-tier voting system using mail.

The demand has been filed with the state secretary, whose office has not given any comments yet. It is interesting that Pennsylvania is the home state of Trump's opponent Biden, in which Donald Trump predicted a victory for himself.

The voting system in the US presidential election significantly differs from the Russian one. The American system is based on the participation of the so-called electors, the number of whom in each state depends on the number of representatives of the respective state in Congress.

Thus, the task of an ordinary American is to vote for an elector from the campaign of one or another candidate, and he (she), in turn, votes for the new president.

The connection of the elector with a specific campaign assumes the subsequent voting for "his" candidate, however, in the history of American elections there were cases of voting for an opponent, but this did not affect the outcome of the race.
