THE US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE IS GOING TO SUE APPLE
The United States Department of Justice wants to sue Apple in connection with the company's antitrust violations.

The lawsuit fits into the antitrust rhetoric of the US presidential administration. Joe Biden's apparatus is fighting against many of the largest technology companies in the United States. According to Bloomberg, Apple was accused of restricting competitors' access to iPhone hardware and software functions.

For the third time in 14 years, the Ministry of Justice is suing Apple for violating antitrust laws. However, this case was the first in which the technology giant was accused of illegally maintaining a dominant position in the market.

Earlier, the US Department of Justice conducted an investigation into Apple. The agency studied how the company blocks competitors' access to its iMessage service, as well as why the Apple Watch works much better with the iPhone than with other smartphones.

There are also claims against Apple in Europe. In early March, the corporation received a fine of 1.8 billion euros from the European Commission (EC) due to the company blocking access to its music platforms for competitors. The EC noted that the technology giant has been abusing its dominant position in the European market for decades.
