The oldest alcohol production company in Veliky Novgorod was founded in 1897. Then the brainchild of the merchant Korsakov - a stone building of the enterprise, appeared in the city. After 1917, the provincial warehouses with alcohol were located there.

In the Soviet years (since 1925) the enterprise was called Novgorod Distillery No. 5.

Liqueur production was launched in 1936, a wine production workshop appeared in the 1960s.

The enterprise acquired its current organizational and legal form in 1992 as a result of privatization. In the 2000s, the company began to produce about 40 types of various alcoholic beverages, positioning it as a result of combining modern technologies with old national recipes.

In 2007, Sergei Bobryshev, the son of the former mayor, became the owner of the enterprise. His father, Yuri Bobryshev, who headed the company from 1992 to 2007, was elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. According to the published data for 2020, Alcon's revenue fell by 10% compared to 2019, amounting to about 150 million rubles.
