THE LARGEST WASTE CARRIER IN SIBERIA WANTS TO BE DECLARED BANKRUPT
On the eve of the New Year holidays, the arbitration received a claim for the insolvency of the company "EcoTrans-N", engaged in the removal of solid household waste in the capital of Siberia. The applicant is the SibESCO company, referring to the existence of a debt of 2,021,760 million rubles.

In April last year, both companies came to an amicable agreement. According to it, Ekontrans-N undertook to pay the counterparty more than 12.5 million rubles. At the same time, SibESCO itself is currently undergoing the stage of bankruptcy proceedings. Sergey Lebedev has been appointed as its manager, and Vyacheslav Rodenko is the beneficiary.

In 2020, SibESCO earned more than 384 million, ending the year with a profit of 20.7 million. But already in 2021, the court had to consider issues related to insolvency. One of the reasons for this, as the court will establish, was the inaction of the organization's managers, who did not collect debts from the regional operator (the company "Ecology-Novosibirsk").

EcoTrans-N is the main waste carrier for Novosibirsk. The company takes out garbage from six districts of the city and twenty-eight districts of Siberia. The founders of the company are the firm Rusekogroup, which is an asset of the VIS group, as well as the company Ams Management.

According to revenue figures for last year, EcoTrans-N received about 1.9 billion rubles in 2021. The company's profit for the last year amounted to 38 million.

Last spring, the company was already on the scandalous agenda related to the protest of workers against working conditions. The drivers and the staff servicing the harvesting equipment then declared a strike, pointing out the facts of violations when concluding labor contracts, as well as an insufficient number of harvesting machines. As a result, the protest action led to a failure with the removal of waste, and the authorities introduced a high-alert mode in the city.
