THE GUARANTEE BROUGHT THE PHONE MANUFACTURER TO BANKRUPTCY
The company "senseit.ru", which sold high-strength smartphones on the Russian market, may be insolvent. Promsvyazbank filed a statement against her on February 16 (case no. A40-29820/2023). The basis for filing a bankruptcy claim was the company's guarantee to a credit institution, which led to a debt of 69.2 million rubles.

According to the bank, in 2018 the company acted as one of the parties in contracts with the companies "Voltego" and "Technoliga". Firms have stopped paying bills since 2019, Kommersant writes. Despite the bank's attempts to achieve an out-of-court settlement of the multimillion-dollar debt, the organizations did not pay off their loans.

The only beneficiary of <url> (as in principle and Voltego) is Stanislav Putintsev. He also holds the position of CEO of both organizations. Until August 2022, the company was owned by the company "Apsutrade", to which the asset was transferred in 2019 from the liquidated organization "Open Alliance".

In the Russian market, the company was known by the SenseIt trademark, under which push-button models of phones and smartphones in shock-resistant cases entered the market. Since 2015, the company has decided to launch the production of "smart" sockets. Experts consider such a decision reckless, given the company's entry into the market, where competitors like the Russian Yandex or the Chinese brand Xiaomi have already settled.

The pandemic had a negative impact on the financial condition of the company. The company's net profit in 2021 amounted to 112 thousand, while revenue reached 107.4 million rubles. The company's official website has stopped being updated since mid-2019. The company has also not shown any activity in social networks over the past three years.

The Etalon plant in Tver, which produced "smart" sockets ordered by SenseIt, began a lawsuit with a counterparty due to the delivery of low-quality goods and problems with its timely payment. The company demanded 76.3 million from the factory, since the goods were delivered in a limited volume. However, the manufacturer referred to the fact that the customer did not take the products. As a result, the court first recovered $41 million from Etalon.

After the plant appealed, the amount of the penalty was reduced to 2.6 million. Soon the plant filed a claim for the recovery of 25 million rubles from <url>. In January last year, the positive decision of the arbitration on this issue was supported by the appellate instance. DP Studio (Drivepixel) also continues the litigation with the company. The firm demands more than 1.5 million rubles from SenseIt (case no. A40-159836/2022).
