THE GARBAGE COMPANY ASSOCIATED WITH EX-GOVERNOR OF ORYOL CITY IS BEING DRIVEN INTO BANKRUPTCY
An application for declaring the bankruptcy of EcoTek LLC was submitted to the commercial court of Oryol city. The company has been operating in Oryol since 2014 and is engaged in garbage collection. The initiator of the case was an individual, and the verification of the validity of the claims will be carried out at a meeting on March 31.
It is curious that this is not the first attempt to "sink" the garbage operator.
Earlier, similar claims were filed by Orelgorteploenergo JSC and the regional tax service.
In the first case, the application for declaring the debtor bankrupt was first returned, and then completely left without consideration. The tax authorities' attempt ended with a refusal to introduce supervision and the termination of the proceedings.
According to some reports, the potential bankrupt is associated with the former governor of the Oryol region, Vadim Potomsky. He held his post from 2014 to 2017, when EcoTek LLC started its activities.
Potomskiy was elected to the office with a record number of votes in the region (89%) with a high voter turnout. However, already in 2017, his powers were terminated ahead of schedule by presidential decree. On the same day, the politician received a new position – the deputy plenipotentiary of the president in the Central Federal District. It is curious that in his new position he, among other things, oversees the problems associated with the activities of landfills.
