THE FOUNDER OF PYATEROCHKA CHAIN BECAME A DEFENDANT IN A CRIMINAL CASE OVER $ 11 MILLION

The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case against the head of the Pyaterochka supermarket chain, Andrey Rogachev. The businessman and billionaire is suspected of extorting a large sum of money from his business partner Goryainov.

According to Baza, the men were previously linked by shares in the company they created, while Rogachev owned 60% and Goryainov 40%. However, later this ratio seemed incorrect to Rogachev, in connection with which he began to extort another 20% from his partner, threatening to inform the authorities about his illegal methods of solving problems.

According to the investigators, it was the interest from the founded company that was subsequently extorted by the suspect, and their size amounted to $ 11 million. In case of refusal, the entrepreneur threatened to take everything.

Despite the seriousness of intentions, the situation could not be changed. Then Rogachev initiated the seizure of the Usachevsky market by forty Caucasians, a share in which belonged to Goryainov. For the release of the retail space, a demand was made to transfer half of the property owned by Goryainov, or $ 40 million.

As a result, the investigating authorities have opened a criminal case on extortion, and Rogachev is being prosecuted as a suspect.
