THE FORMER PRESIDENT OF ARMENIA FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINS THE STATE
The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, filed a lawsuit against the state. The Ministry of Finance is indicated as the defendant.
The amount of the claim is 4 thousand dollars, and the reason is a “disclosure of secrets”. The fact is that on March 10, the judge Anna Danibekyan read out the text of the document, which mentioned Kocharian's medical secret, in the presence of journalists. The plaintiff noted that this is his personal data protected by the law.
The judge actually read out the ex-president's diagnosis, having informed the people present that he had a third degree hypertension, acute vestibulopathy and the heart rhythm problems.
At that time, Kocharyan was in the hospital, and the judge did not ask him for permission to announce the diagnosis.
The former president is under investigation over the overthrow of the constitutional order due to the dispersal of the protests in 2008.
