THE FINANCIAL MANAGER ASKS TO DECLARE BANKRUPT THE WIFE OF THE EX-OWNER OF PROMSVYAZBANK

On September 4, the Arbitration court of the capital received a statement from Evgeny Vesnin, financial manager of the ex-chairman of the Board of Promsvyazbank Dmitry Ananyev. In it, he asked to declare his wife Lyudmila bankrupt (case no. A40-199153/2023). The amount of the claim is not specified in the court file data. The application itself has not yet been accepted by the court for consideration.

In May 2023, the Financial Manager has already managed to recover about 1 billion from Lyudmila Ananyeva, including over 324 million in rubles, € 5.3 million and $1.1 million, RIA Novosti reports. The reason for this was the funds that were withdrawn from several credit institutions (Promsvyazbank and BM-Bank) from the defendant's accounts.

From the position of the Financial Manager, such spending of money, which is the common property of the spouses, violated the rights of creditors. Representatives of Promsvyazbank told the press that the bank considers Vesnin's procedural actions justified. The Financial Manager tries to recover the lost funds in this way and protect the financial interests of creditors.

In 2015, Dmitry Ananyev signed a marriage contract. According to him , a residential building in the village . Gorki-2 and plots of land in the area of Rublevo-Uspensky highway (more than 20), the ex-banker handed over to his wife. In December 2022, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation declared this invalid. The same fate befell the donation of a land plot under the house in Gorki-2.

The judicial authorities had also previously annulled the supplementary agreement signed by the husband and wife Ananyevs in 2017 before the interim administration came to the bank. According to it, the wife of the ex-head of the bank received two metropolitan apartments, 10 plots of land, 5 cars and other valuable assets.

Another agreement that was invalidated was Ananyeva's contract with Velux Assets Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus. The deal was concluded in 2018. According to the contract, the woman transferred all the property received earlier from her spouse to the organization. The only exception was the housing issued for the daughter. According to the judges, the real purpose of the transactions was the withdrawal of funds from the creditors' control.

Recall that the rehabilitation of Promsvyazbank has been going on since 2017. Ananyev received the status of bankrupt in January 2021. As Rusbankrot reported, the process was initiated by the grain company Nastyusha, which presented the fugitive banker with claims for 2.9 billion rubles. The capital Arbitration has opened the stage of the sale of its assets, which has not yet been completed. The authorities consider the Ananyev brothers guilty of causing major damage to the bank and illegally withdrawing about $87.2 billion abroad.
