THE BRANDY FACTORY NEAR SIMFEROPOL MAY GO TO IVAN SAVVIDI
Owned by Ivan Savvidi, an entrepreneur from Rostov, Agrocom Holding demands 1.055 billion rubles from the Pervomaisky plant. The obligation arose in connection with loans. Their holding provided the bankrupt alcoholic group "KVS" from Essentuki, and the Crimean plant was the guarantor.

The financial collapse of the KVS group, which included a wine and brandy factory and an associated trading house, began in 2019. Firms have come under a barrage of criticism from the regulator. It was reported that the enterprises were caught in the production of fake cognac. In 2020, at the initiative of Rosalkogolregulirovaniya, 43 thousand liters of counterfeit produced from ordinary alcohols (not of grape origin) were seized from the plant. As a result, both companies were bankrupt.

Savvidi's current lawsuit against the plant is comparable to the company's revenue for the whole of 2021 (1.26 billion). The hearing is scheduled to take place on September 5. According to experts, the holding has every reason to win the case.

Pervomaisky has been operating on the territory of the Simferopol district since 1958. His specialty is grape distillates and spirits. The beneficiary of the company is Mkrtych Spertsyan (he owns 98.63%).

It is reported that the share of the owner of the brandy factory is pledged to the holding. According to experts, this makes it possible to transfer an asset to a new owner if a simplified recovery mechanism is provided for in the contract. Otherwise, the parties will need a court decision and bidding. And only if the auction is declared invalid, Spertsyan's share will become the property of the new owner.
