The members of the Black Lives Matter movement have filed a lawsuit against the US President Donald Trump. The reason was the dispersed rally near the White House.
The activists of the Washington branch of Black Lives Matter organization filed a lawsuit in conjunction with the American Civil Liberties Union. The President and a number of senior officials (Minister of Defense, Attorney General) are accused of violating the citizens' rights to peaceful assembly, in accordance with the amendment ¹ 1.
The representatives of Black Lives Matter movement noted that the dispersal of demonstrators is a direct violation of the rights of Americans. We should recall that on Monday, the police ousted the protesters from the Lafayette Park near the White House, using tear gas, smoke grenades and rubber bullets. Since then, the area around the presidential administration building has remained closed.
