TAX AUTHORITIES BANKRUPT OUTDOOR ADVERTISING OPERATOR RIGHT OUTDOOR
MI Federal Tax Service No. 25 of the capital has applied to arbitration with a claim for the insolvency of Right Outdoor Media, a well–known outdoor advertising operator. The company was a strategic partner of the SPIEF. The owner of the organization is entrepreneur Anna Savina. She is also a member of the expert council of the State Duma committee dealing with issues of motherhood and childhood.
The court has not yet approved the exact deadline for consideration of the application. But information about its filing has already appeared in the court file. As of February of this year, the company had debts to the budget in the amount of over 11 million rubles. More than 8.8 million of this amount is in arrears, which served as the basis for suspending operations on accounts within the framework of tax control.
The company is registered in Moscow and has been wholly owned by Anna Savina since 2019. At that moment, she replaced Georgy Mikaberidze, now the head of the liquidated Rosinfokominvest fund, both among the founders and as head of the company. Savina also manages several other structures in the field of advertising and heads the foundation.
Despite the positive financial dynamics last year (the company raised about 113 million), fiscal authorities see signs of insolvency in its work. According to the official registers, the company continues to carry out business activities. She acts as a multimedia partner for major events, and her owner regularly appears on the business agenda as a speaker.
Until recently, the organization placed outdoor advertising in the largest cities of Russia. Her portfolio includes media facades, billboards, posters, as well as advertising in airports, cinemas and business centers. The company has actively asserted itself as one of the leading players in the visual communication market, using innovative digital formats.
The situation with the possible bankruptcy of Wright Outdoor Media illustrates a typical case in which revenue growth does not guarantee a stable financial position. According to experts, debt owed to tax authorities, especially in terms of unfulfilled obligations on payments to the budget, is one of the key indicators of insolvency risk. The fact that operations on the account have been suspended usually indicates that there are systemic problems with the calculations.
If the tax application is accepted for production, a temporary manager may be appointed to the company, and in the future it is possible to introduce a monitoring procedure. However, up to this point, the debtor retains the right to challenge the claims of the tax authority or settle the debt in a pre-trial manner.
