SBERBANK INITIATES THE INSOLVENCY OF THE STRUCTURES OF THE GOLDMAN GROUP HOLDING
Sberbank announced plans to apply to arbitration with bankruptcy claims of the Goldman Group Management Company and five other legal entities belonging to the group of companies. The credit institution posted information about this on the Fedresurs portal. The message, in particular, mentions the companies AgroElita, Sibneftrezerv, IS Petroleum.
The well-known agricultural holding in Siberia was formed in 1999. The enterprises specialized in several areas of activity. IS Petroleum and Sibneftrezerv traded in petroleum products, AgroElita and several other enterprises grew cereals and oilseeds. "The first procurement company" (it also appears in the message of Sberbank) and TD "Myasnichy" were engaged in the production of meat products, as well as its sale.
In November 2023, Rusbankrot already wrote about the possible bankruptcy of AgroElita. The trial in the case (No. A03-20222/2022), in which the counterparty managed to recover more than 50 million from the organization, ended in August with an act of appeal (7th AAC), after which the Food company decided to apply to the court for insolvency.
In mid-December, it became known about the arrest of the property of Roman Goldman, co-owner and head of the Goldman Group Management Company. The reason for the actions of law enforcement agencies was suspicion of fraud with the assets of shareholders of the Agro Deposit consumer cooperative. Investigators believe that the damage may exceed 1 billion. At the same time, Goldman himself has already left the Russian Federation.
The authorized capital of the Goldman Group Management Company is more than 10 billion rubles. At the same time, the holding's business has already experienced several technical defaults recently. The management company defaulted on November 13, 2023, without paying interest on the bonds. A week later, similar defaults were made by other structures of the holding.
Creditors such as Rosbank, Region Finance (representing the interests of bondholders) and one of Sovcombank's structures are suing with subsidiaries of the Goldman Group to recover millions of dollars.
