ROSNEFT'S CONTRACTOR IS ONCE AGAIN UNDER THREAT OF BANKRUPTCY
In Tyumen, the regional tax authority (MI FTS No. 14) on November 20, 2024, again applied to arbitration, demanding that Tyumen-Neftegazservice be declared bankrupt (case No. A70-25361/2024). A large contractor working in the hydrocarbon production market turned out to owe the Russian treasury more than 10.2 million rubles. The documents on the claim have not yet been accepted for production. According to experts, the current attempt by the tax authorities to initiate the bankruptcy procedure of the company is already the fifth in a row.
Earlier, similar statements were repeatedly returned by the court. The last lawsuit filed this summer (case no. A70-18645/2024) was dismissed in October. The reason was the lack of evidence that the organization has any financial means for subsequent financing of judicial procedures.
At the same time, representatives of the Federal Tax Service themselves claim that the company is an "absent debtor". It is impossible to establish her actual location and contact with the management. The activity has actually been stopped, and bank accounts have been blocked.
Tyumen-Neftegazservice was established more than 10 years ago. The company specialized in providing services in the field of oil and gas production. The main founders of the company are Andrey Zinorov and Dmitry Stepanov. Each of them owns a 40% share. Another 20% is registered to the organization itself.
In the past, the company has been involved in high-profile trials. The firm was in litigation with Kharampurneftegaz (a joint venture of Rosneft and BP Russian Investments Ltd). One of the resonant episodes in the company's work on the territory of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District was damage to equipment at the Yuzhno-Kharampurskoye field.
The history of Tyumen-NefteGazService illustrates the difficulties faced by contractors in the oil and gas industry, especially against the background of economic difficulties and budget arrears. The fate of the company remains uncertain, and its status will once again be reviewed by arbitration. The court's decision may be key in the issue of further liquidation or possible restructuring of the enterprise.
