ROMAN ABRAMOVICH INTENDS TO SUE OVER "PUTIN'S PEOPLE" BOOK
Businessman Roman Abramovich intends to sue HarperCollins publishing company because of slander in the "Putin's People" book. We are talking about a number of incorrect, according to the plaintiff, statements about the corrupt actions of the entrepreneur himself, as well as about his purchase of a football club.

The plaintiff claims that the book includes "false accusations", which in turn negatively affect both the personal reputation of the billionaire and the football club he owns.

According to Abramovich, he wanted to avoid trial, but the issue will probably not be resolved otherwise.

The businessman expressed his regret at this state of affairs and noted that attempts at out-of-court proceedings did not lead to a positive result for him. He also expressed hope for the refutation of the false accusations.

The entrepreneur separately noted that he had hopes for a fair trial, as before.

In February of this year, the British newspaper The Independent has already apologized to the billionaire for a publication about the need to impose sanctions against him. According to the newspaper, the published statement of the head of regional headquarters of Navalny, Leonid Volkov, about Abramovich's connection with Putin's illegal wealth was false.
