OTKRITIE BANKRUPTS MURMANSK WHOLESALE COMPANY
The wholesale company Mega Food from Murmansk, which became a resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in April 2021, wants to be declared insolvent. Otkritie FC Bank filed for bankruptcy on April 18, 2024 with the arbitration of the region (case A42-3244/2024). The claim in the amount of 298,589,880.04 rubles was accepted by the court for consideration.
As the publication reports murmansk.ru , the owner of the organization is a well-known Murmansk businessman Yuri Polyakov. Its activities are related to wholesale trade (mainly meat and meat processing products). Several other companies (Gemma, Food Exim) are also associated with him, whose bankruptcy the bank is seeking.
In the spring of 2021, it became known that Mega Food was included in the list of residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. According to the relevant ministry, the company was supposed to invest about 380 million in the development of logistics infrastructure.
It was planned that the business would ensure the operation of a modernized full-featured center providing services in the Third Party Logistics (3PL) format. It was assumed that cold storage facilities would be built on an area of 4.4 thousand square meters, which would reduce the cost of food for the population of the Murmansk region.
According to the judicial act, the court ordered to involve several more organizations from St. Petersburg ("Meat Farmstead") and Murmansk ("Food Exim") to participate in the litigation. A hearing to consider the validity of the application is scheduled for May 20, 2024.
