NAVALNY’S ANTI-CORRUPTION FOUNDATION AND HEADQUARTERS MAY BE DECLARED EXTREMIST ORGANIZATIONS
A claim was filed against a number of organizations associated with Alexei Navalny in one of the courts of In Moscow. Among them there were Anti-Corruption Foundation (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), the Foundation for the Protection of Citizens' Rights (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) and Navalny's headquarters. If the claim is satisfied, the companies will be recognized as extremist.

The claim was filed within the framework of administrative proceedings and initiated by the Prosecutor's Office of Moscow. Earlier, the supervisory authority checked the activities of these organizations. As a result of its conduct, the extremist sentiments were revealed in their work.

According to prosecutors, these companies create conditions for destabilizing the situation in the country, pursuing the goal of forming the "ground" for a change in the foundations of the constitutional order.

At the moment, no information about the further movement of the lawsuit filed has been made public.

At the same time, Alexei Navalny himself is in prison in the Vladimir region, where he went on a hunger strike at the end of March. The oppositionist resorted to such radical measures because of the deteriorating state of his health and the refusal to admit a doctor to him.
