MORE THAN A HUNDRED THOUSAND COMPANIES DECIDED TO SUE GOOGLE
The UK Court of Appeal has received a class action for $16.3 billion against the American multinational corporation Google. Its authors are 130 thousand companies-developers of websites and applications. This is reported by TechCrunch.

The statement indicates that the company abused its superiority in the online advertising market, exposed its prices and conditions. This led to the fact that organizations unable to abandon Google tools suffered losses. We are talking about 40% of advertising revenue that has been lost since 2014.

The tech giant considered the claim "far-fetched and groundless," as stated in a reply letter. However, the initiator of the lawsuit, Toby Starr, is confident that this is the only way to compensate for the losses of companies in the online advertising market.

Recall that in the summer of 2021, the French Competition Authority fined the corporation ˆ 220 million for undermining fair competition. Then the French media platforms News Corp, Le Figaro1 and Rossel La Voix appealed to the court. This precedent can become a weighty argument in a new trial.
