MANIZHA WILL SUE THE MEDIA OVER ACCUSATIONS OF LINKS WITH THE KREMLIN
Manizha, who represented Russia at Eurovision contest, said that her lawyers were preparing a lawsuit against Wonderzine media. By means of a lawsuit, she wants to defend her honor and dignity.
The singer reported on the upcoming lawsuit on her Instagram - the reason was one of the materials published by the media. In its text, Wonderzine, referring to the Telegram channel, stated that Manizha did not accidentally pass the Russian selection stage for the song competition, since she has high-ranking patrons.
The singer said that the media did not check the sources of information.
She noted that the authors of the text could have just called her. Manizha also added that the media, which positions itself as progressive and fighting the stereotypes one, easily devalued someone else's work.
In Wonderzine's article ‘Why Manizha's performance at Eurovision doesn’t bring us joy’, the author suggested that the singer was able to pass the national selection thanks to the Kremlin. Data from the Lenpravda and Infobomb Telegram channels were cited as evidence.
We should recall that the singer Manizha took ninth place in the music competition. The winner was the rock band Måneskin from Italy.
