Legal claim over ‘too tasty’ cheeseburger filed in Israel
Legal claim over ‘too tasty’ cheeseburger filed in Israel
An Israeli man filled a claim against a fast food restaurant for selling a non-kosher cheeseburger to him. According to the plaintiff, the cheese that was added to the dish turned out to be ‘too tasty’, which aroused suspicion. The defendant in the case is Burger King Israel.
The incident took place in the city of Hod Hasharon. According to the man, the catering establishment deceived him by putting too tasty and non-kosher cheese in the dish.
When the plaintiff asked how it was possible to make such a product, he was told that the cheese was made from milk, which outraged the man.
The reason for such a reaction is that kosher dishes cannot combine dairy and meat ingredients. Therefore, a ‘proper’ cheeseburger should be made from a plant-based milk substitute.
Responding to the indignation of the visitor, the representatives of the ‘Burger King’ noted that the restaurant had been kosher before, but already lost such a status.
The filed lawsuit says that the visitor of the restaurant experienced amazement and annoyance from the fact that he tasted non-kosher food, which in turn directly contradicted his faith, the ‘Secret of firm’ media outlet reports with reference to the ‘Vesti’ local newspaper.
