KONDRABANDIST'S SHIPYARD WILL BE BANKRUPTED BY THE TAX AUTHORITIES
The application for insolvency of the Rybinsk shipyard "Bell" was submitted to the Yaroslavl arbitration by the tax authorities. According to the employees of the Federal Tax Service No. 10, who filed a lawsuit with the court, the company can obtain the status of bankrupt in an expedited manner, being an "absent debtor".

The owners of the shipyard are the capital mutual investment fund "Joint Investments" (its share is 70%), CEO Oleg Belkov (29.4%) and Ivan Kiselyov (0.6%). The court has so far left the claim of the tax authorities without movement.

By April 28, the tax service is invited to supplement the application with missing documents, Kommersant clarifies. In particular, the arbitration found no evidence that the organization has the property necessary to cover court costs in the event of bankruptcy. The court also pointed out to the tax authorities the need to provide a detailed transcript of the debt with a description of the measures that have already been taken to forcibly recover it.

Belkov, who has been the head of the shipyard for the past few years, previously managed the Vimpel plant. In February 2023, the CEO was sentenced to three years probation for attempted smuggling (Part 1 of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

As it was established by the court, he managed to move two military boats from the territory of the Russian Federation to the UAE. To do this, each patrol landing craft was designed as a pleasure boat. On September 30, 2020, they were seized by FSB operatives.
