The reason was the soil pollution, which occurred due to the activities of Komsomolskneft. The company is required to pay almost 1.5 million rubles.
The plaintiff is the interregional administration of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service in the Rostov region and Kalmykia. The application has already been accepted by the arbitration court. Komsomolskneft must pay 1,442,430 rubles for soil contamination. The companies also put forward claims for 481,800 rubles and 43,078 rubles for negative impact on the environment and as a debt, respectively.
Now Komsomolskneft is going through bankruptcy proceedings.
The company was established in 2011. The CEOs and owners of Komsomolskneft are Marat and Nurulla Sattarov, both of whom were put on the wanted list in 2019. Nurulla attracted the attention of law enforcement officers for a large bribe to an official, and Marat Sattarov is being sought for tax evasion from a legal entity on an especially large scale.
It is also worth noting that more than 90 enforcement proceedings are in force against the company with claims of about 600 million rubles.
