ITALY IS ABOUT TO SUE PFIZER COMPANY FOR COVID-19 VACCINE

Italian media report on impending lawsuits of the government against Pfizer. The fact is that the company disrupts the deadlines for the supply of covid-19 vaccine.

It is reported that the American Pfizer has unilaterally cut the supply of vaccines to Italy, which threatens the entire vaccination campaign. It is known that over the past week, the number of delivered vaccines has been reduced by 29%. What is more, Pfizer plans to reduce the supplies in the future.

In Italy, vaccination started on December 27, 2020.

Now the country's authorities intend to deal with the company in court. We should note that in Italy, vaccinations are carried out with the medicines of two manufacturers - Pfizer and BioNThec. Previously, small doses of Moderna vaccine were also supplied to the country. At the moment, the time has come for a second dose of already vaccinated Italian patients, among them there are only residents of caring homes and doctors.

It is planned that supplies of 200 million vaccines from six different companies will be delivered to Italy. At the same time, the country's population is estimated at 60 million people.
