INVESTORS ARE READY TO SUE OVER CYBERPUNK 2077’S DISMAL RELEASE
In mid-December, the Cyberpunk 2077 computer game was released for wide use; its developer is the Polish studio CD Projekt Red. However, the release of the long-awaited product in the gaming environment was overshadowed by the difficulties that users encountered when installing the game.
Problems began to appear immediately after the start of sales.
Gamers reported multiple bugs and the owners of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles were unable to play the game at all. Later, Sony Interactive Entertainment decided to remove the game and return the money to users. Microsoft also announced a refund and the developer studio itself promised to compensate for the cost of purchased physical copies of the game.
After the dismal release, the investors of Cyberpunk 2077 decided on filing a lawsuit against the product’s developer; at the moment, the lawyers are working on the preparation of documents.
It is worth adding that just before that, the developers of the CD Projekt Red studio made an attempt to fix the game’s problems, but these measures "caused laughter" among gamers - users noted that such actions would hardly improve the situation.
