INVESTIGATORS STARTED AN INSPECTION DUE TO THE BODIES OF BABIES FOUND AT A LANDFILL
The Investigative Committee initiated an inspection after the incident with the discovery of the bodies of two premature babies at a landfill in the Kirovsky district of Volgograd. The bodies were found on March 27 while sorting the trash.
After a pre-investigation inspection began, forensic experts examined the scene, while the medical experts stated that the babies were born dead.
During the investigation, the alleged mother - a 37-year-old local resident was found.
According to the information of the Investigative Committee, the woman allegedly did not understand that she was pregnant until the last moment. She believed that she was overweight, as well as had increased fatigue and other ailments associated with this fact. When she finally understood the real reason, she did not go to the doctors.
The woman gave birth to babies on March 25 at home, both fetuses were dead. Then mother put them into a bag and threw them away. Now the investigators are checking all the circumstances of the case, during which the authorities will make a procedural decision.
