INVESTIGATORS INITIATE CRIMINAL CASES FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST POLLICE OFFICERS AT RALLIES
Rallies in support of the politician Alexei Navalny, held on January 23 in a number of Russian cities, have led to the initiation of criminal cases. According to the Moscow Investigation Department, in Moscow, a woman struck a police officer several times - she was charged under the article on the use of violence against a law enforcement officer, her guilt has already been recognized.

Another participant of the rally threw a fence in the direction of the Rosgvardia officer, and in this action, the investigators also saw the use of violence.

At the moment, both suspects have been detained, and the investigation is ongoing.

In St. Petersburg, a criminal case has also been initiated in connection with the use of violence against government officials. According to the investigation, a group of people made an attempt to break through the cordon, as a result of which several law enforcement officers were injured at once.

As part of the criminal case, searches have already been carried out at a number of addresses; as a result, a large amount of marijuana was found in one of the apartments. One citizen was detained - now he is in the status of a suspect, the investigation is looking for the rest of the participants.

What is more,on the eve it became known about the detention of another suspect, a resident of Chechnya Said-Mukhammad Dzhumaev. A video in which he entered into a fight with riot police recently appeared on the network, after which a State Duma deputy turned to him with a proposal to "help" if he renounces his opposition views. The suspect was detained in the Pskov region and is currently being taken to Moscow for investigative actions.
