A judge of the Moscow Arbitration Court is suspected of mediating in the transfer of a bribe.  The case was transferred to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow.  The department is engaged in investigating economic crimes, as well as illegal actions directed against the state power.

Elena Kondrat is a suspect in the case - according to investigation, she made attempts to persuade her colleague to issue a court order rejecting the claim of bringing to subsidiary liability. For this, a reward in the amount of $ 50 thousand was promised to her, reports TASS.

The woman is charged with part 4 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the maximum punishment for which provides for 12 years in prison along with a fine.

According to the investigators, the suspect, knowing that her colleague was considering the case of bringing a number of persons to subsidiary liability, turned to the latter with a proposal to issue a ruling rejecting to satisfy the claim. The meeting took place in a restaurant, after which there was a number of meetings and telephone conversations.

Kondrat continued to persuade her colleague to make a deal, while she herself was ready to act as an intermediary and transfer a bribe. However, the judge turned to the law enforcement officers, after which the operational services took control of what was happening. The investigation is currently underway.
