The arbitration court received a claim for the insolvency of George Zaremba (case no. A40-213944/2022). The initiator of the process was the Mir Commercial Bank, in which the entrepreneur served as chairman of the Management Board.
The bank itself lost its license on December 19, 2016, and subsequently became bankrupt, caught in suspicious transactions. His former manager began to figure in the story of deliberate bankruptcy and ended up under house arrest, Kommersant reports.
Five years ago, experts wondered how the scandalous financier Georgy Zaremba managed to head the board of a credit institution in October 2015. After all, this happened after the licenses were lost by three other banks, in which he managed to work in senior positions.
In 2015, the fate of Vitas-bank, which parted with the license in June 2012, and was declared bankrupt in August of the same year, was still well remembered. In it, Zaremba managed to work as an adviser to the chairman of the board Natalia Gorodkova, convicted of fraud. Prior to that, a similar fate befell the banks "Centurion" and "Premier".
